Land 121-HH-121-MGT-010 Phase 3B, 5B and Rigid Tankers. MTTRS Fuel module
Abrasive Blasting & Industrial Coating Specialists were initially engaged by Holmwood Highgate to provide full painting services for all components associated with 276 bulk fuel and water modules (Phase 3B) being supplied to Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia (RMMVA). These included BFPS, BFS, BWPS, BWS modules and Rigid Tanker Units. This was part of the Land 121 Australian Defence Force (ADF) programme to replace the in service field vehicle, trailer and module fleet. The 276 modules consisted of more than 67,000 individual components to be painted in accordance with APAS 0502 using the disruptive pattern painting (DPP) system (camouflage). ABI Coating Specialists meticulous planning and comprehensive quality assurance system ensured that each components paint pattern was matched with adjacent components once assembled and meet strict quality standards.
After successful completion of the Phase 3B Contract, Holmwood Highgate awarded Abrasive Blasting & Industrial Coating Specialists an additional contract for 85 more bulk fuel and water modules (Phase 5B). They also placed additional orders for painting of spare parts for both Phase 3B and 5B.
All Parties involved with these contracts including Holmwood Highgate, Rheinmetal Defence Australia and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) where extremely satisfied with the quality of the paintwork and the level of service provided by ABI Coating Specialists. Subsequently ABI Coating Specialists have secured several more contracts and orders for painting of military equipment for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), it’s main Military Contractors and subcontractors.

Rheinmetall Defence Australia-Land 400 Phase 2 Boxer CRV and MPV program
Abrasive Blasting & Industrial Coating Specialists has been engaged directly by the Australian Defence Forces primary contractor, Rheinmetal Defence Australia, to provide painting services for the Land 400 Phase 2 Boxer CRV and MPV program. This is part of a $A16 Billion Contract that Rheinmetal Defence Australia has with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for the supply of 5000 military vehicles. Currently, ABI Coating Specialists is the only approved Industrial Coatings Contractor that meets the strict quality standards required by Rheinmetal Defence Australia.

Bus Site Painting Facility Management Contract
Abrasive Blasting & Industrial Coating Specialists leverage our expertise in efficient and effective management of industrial coatings operations to assist our Manufacturing Clients to manage their in-house painting facilities. An example of this is that we have a long-term contact through Axalta Coating Systems for the provision of Site Painting Facility Management at a Bus manufacturing facility on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This includes provision of the following to operate the clients existing painting facilities:
- Supervision and management
- Skilled labour
- Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures
- Minor tools and equipment
- Supply of Consumables
Our team at the Bus manufacturing facility fully paints up to 16 new buses per month as well as carrying out refurbishment of damaged Buses. Abrasive Blasting & Industrial Coating Specialist’s own well equipped 4000sqm Industrial Coatings Workshop provides overflow capacity to meet peak demand when required.
